Katie has over 20 years experience in healthcare management. Her experience in various healthcare management roles allows her the unique ability to understand just what you are going through by owning and operating a medical practice. She has worked in several different specialties and both small and large practices and believes, with the right tools, that every practice has the capacity for greatness.
MEET AMAR SHAH, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer, Owner
Dr. Shah is a board certified family physician with a growing practice in Chesterfield, VA and is the CMO of Bright Ideas. He also serves as the medical director of Virginia Care Partners (VCP).
Dr. Shah has extensive experience in clinical quality and pay for performance programs. He leads practice transformation by improving their clinical outcomes and driving revenue with programs like chronic care management, transitional care management, telemedicine, and remote patient monitoring. He also works with primary care practices with implementing value-based care by educating providers on risk adjustment factors (RAF), Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) coding, patient engagement, and preventative medicine.
Dr. Shah strives to be an advocate for all of his patients. Dr. Shah is happily married with twin boys. He enjoys working out with his wife and playing basketball with his sons.
